The Motlow State women's soccer team finished their first season with a winning record as they defeated the Martin methodist junior varsity squad in their regular season finale 4-0. The Lady Bucks finished the season with an 8-7-1 record which saw them finish the season on a 6-2 run after starting the year 2-5-1.
Because the Lady Bucks are the only institution playing Dvision I soccer in the TCCAA & NJCAA Region VII, they had to meet certian criteria to be eligible for the post season. Sadly, they didn't meet all the criteria so the first year program will have something to build on for next year.
Motlow lists only two sophomores on their roster, but they still have an additional year of eligiblity at the two year level.
Southwest Tennessee also fields a women's soccer team, but played at the DIII level this fall with expectations of moving to DI in the near future.
