The Motlow Bucks went into the national tournament as the #14 seed, and went 1-1 as they defeated Otero in their first game 77-76 on an Isaiah Hart drive with seven seconds remaining before falling to #3 Vincennes 86-82 in the round of 16.
The Bucks plaed four scorers in double digits in the game versus Otero led by Rashawn Fredericks with 19 points. Hart and Dillon Smith each had 16 while David Fraser finished with 11 points. Down 76-72 with 1:13 to play, Fraser would bring Motlow back with a traditional three point play after a steal and layup with 55 seconds remaining. After an another Otero turnover, Hart would drive down the lane and make the game winning shot. A last second three pointer was rebounded by Leo Castillo, Jr. to secure the win.
In their contest against Vincennes, the Bucks stayed close for the duration of the game, but couldn't grab the momentum late in the game. Fredericks would lead Motlow with 36 points followed by Hart with 17 points. Castillo would also reach double figures with 11 points.
