The NJCAA recently announced the selections for the All-American teams. Albert Osuan of Walters State led a trio of representatives from the TCCAA as he was named a First Team All-American selection. His teammate, infielder Jerry Hammons, and Dyersburg State's Zane Morehouse were both named to the second team.
Osuna, the Senators' first baseman, appeared in all 68 games this past season for Walters State. He had 106 hits in 231 at bats for a .459 batting average. He had 20 doubles and 25 home runs with 74 runs scored. He also had 107 RBIs. His slugging percentage was .870 and his on base percentage was .530. His fielding percentage was .991 as he committed two errors in 230 chances.
Hammons, the Senators' third baseman, also appeared in all 68 games this past season. He had a .392 batting average with a 100 hits in 255 at bats. He had 23 doubles and 23 home runs with 89 runs scored. He had 80 RBIs with a .753 slugging percentage and anon base percentage of .445. His fielding percentage was .901 ith tenerrors in 101 chances.
Morehouse, a right handed pitcher for the Eagles, appeared in 19 games this past season for Dyersburg. He had 13-1 record with five complete games. He also recorded one save. He had a 2.59 ERA as he gave up 23 earndd runs in 80 innings pitched. He gave up 37 hits and 35 walks while striking out 126 batters.
