TCCAA SET TO INDUCT KEYLON-RAWLSTON AND POLICASTRO INTO HALL OF FAME

The TCCAA has announced the 2025 class for the TCCAA Hall of Fame.  Beth Keylon-Rawlston, former Chattanooga State Head Softball Coach, and Mike Policastro, former Head Baseball Coach and current Athletic Director at Cleveland State, are the two recipients in this year's class.  Induction ceremonies will be announced at a later date.  Below is a biography of each recipient's accolades and accomplishments:

BETH KEYLON-RAWLSTON

COACH

Since 1992, Beth Keylon-Rawlston's achievements in collegiate Women's Softball have been
extraordinary. As a player at Tennessee Tech University and head softball coach at Chattanooga State
Community College and East Carolina University, she amassed a total of 651 wins.
A pitcher for Tennessee Tech University, Beth's noted accomplishments include:
 Tennessee Tech NCAA Woman of the Year – 1994
 Tennessee Tech Female Athlete of the Year – 1994
 Ohio Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Year
 Ohio Valley Conference 1 st Team All-Conference - 1993, 1994
 Tennessee Tech University MVP 1992, 1993, 1994
 1994 OVC Regular Season Champions (17-0)
 Tennessee Tech University Hall of Fame Inductee – 2004
 Tennessee Tech University Softball Wall of Fame Inductee
Beth's coaching career started with serving as an assistant softball coach at Tennessee Tech University,
the University of South Carolina, and University of Tennessee- Chattanooga. Beth became Chattanooga
State's second head softball coach in 2001. During her eleven-year career at the college, the Lady Tigers
accomplishments included:
 602 Wins – 118 Losses
 2012 NJCAA National Champions
 10 Conference Championships
 9 Region Championships
 6 Time Coach of the Year Award ('02, '05, '07, '08, '11, '12)
 2012 NFCA National Coaching Staff of the Year
 2012 NFCA Karen L. Sykes Outstanding Coach of the NJCAA Tournament
 #1 National Ranking (Consistently Ranked in the Top Ten Nationally)
 Coached 23 Student Athletes to NJCAA All-American Status
 Mentored 8 Student Athletes to NJCAA Distinguished Academic All-American
 Coached 83 All Conference Selections
 Coached 8 Pitchers of the Year in TCCAA Conference
 Coached 5 Players of the Year in TCCAA Conference
 Invited to play in every NFCA Leadoff Classic Tournament
 2007 selected as Team USA Co-Head Softball Coach for the World University Games in Bangkok, Thailand

 

MIKE POLICASTRO

COACH, ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

For thirty-one years, Mike Policastro has been a leader at Cleveland State
Community College and in the Tennessee Community College Athletic
Association. A graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan University, where he was
an outstanding baseball player, Mike served as the Head Baseball Coach
at his Alma Mater for eight years before moving to Cleveland State.
As a baseball coach, Mike's accomplishments are exceptional:
 1,051 wins
 Over 300 players to play at 4-year schools
 Over 350 players to earn Tennessee Community College Athletic
Association Academic Honors
 75 players to receive National Junior Community College Association
Academic Honors
 Three-Time Coach of the Year
 Had 32 players to advance into the ranks of Major League Baseball
 Led 14 collegiate teams to top two finishes including league
championships and District finishes
 Member of the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame
 Member of the Tennessee Wesleyan Hall of Fame
 Recipient of the American Baseball Coaches Lifetime Achievement
Award
In addition to his outstanding coaching accomplishments, Mike successfully
mentored and guided coaches in all sports as an Athletic Director and
served the TCCAA with outstanding leadership.
 Chaired the Athletic Directors committee for the Tennessee
Community College Athletic Association for 10 years
 Chaired the Baseball committee for the Tennessee Community
College Athletic Association for seven years
