JACKSON STATE ANNOUNCES COACHES FOR VOLLEYBALL, CROSS COUNTRY

The Jackson State Athletic Department named their new head coaches for the upcoming 2025-26 seasons for both the volleyball and both men and women's cross country teams.  This will be the Generals first year ccompeting in these sports with volleyball joining the five current teams as well as Dyersburg State who will be in their inaugaral season as well.  Both Cross Cuntry teams will join the three existing teams along with Dyersburg in their first year of competition.

Alexis Kapales was named head coach of the volleyball program earlier this year.  Kapaless comes to Jackson from Labette Community College in Parsons (KS) where she served as an assistant coach.  She earned her degree from Gardner Webb University where she was standout both on the court and in the classroom.

Arthur Priddy was named the head ccoach for both the men and women's cross country teams.  Priddy is a Jackson (TN) native who brings multiple successful years at the high school level.  He served as the head coach at the Univesity School of Jackson where his athleteshave found success at the state level.

In addition, Jackson State also annouced assistant coaches for both programs.  Nick Bushart will be assisting with the volleyball program while Becky Bennett was announced as the assistant for the cross country squads.
