CHATTANOOGA'S GREG DENNIS REACHES 1,000 CAREER WINS
Chattanooga State head baseball coach Greg Dennis reached the 1,000 win plateau for his career during a doubleheader sweep of King University Junior varsity squad on April 11 two weeks ago.
Dennis' career coaching record now stands at 1008-725 (.581). The Chattanooga native, a graduate of Notre Dame High School, has 33 years as a head coach, first serving at Collin County Community College in Texas before coming back to Chattanooga as the Tigers' head coach. His coaching record at Chattanooga State now stands at 660-310 (.680) with a Junior College World Series appearance in 2010.
He attributes his coaaching success as a "testimony to talent and persistance of a lot of good players and a lot of good assistant coaches."
