SOUTHWEST TENNESSEE CONTINUES AT THE TOP OF BASEBALL STANDINGS

Two weeks into the conference portion of the baseball season, and Southwest Tennessee continues to lead the standing with a 5-1 record.  A half game behind them is Chattanooga with a 4-1 while both Cleveland and Walters sit with a 4-2 record.

Southwest took two of three from Volunteer over the weekend, winning the opener on Saturday 10-4 before splitting the doubleheader, losing the first game 13-11 and then winning the nightcap 9-3.  Chattanooga swept Jackson by the scores of 11-1, 3-1, and 7-4.

Cleveland took their series with Columbia, as they split the doubleheader, winning the first game 4-2 before losing 6-0 in the second game.  They took the third game by a 7-4 final.  Walters swept Motlow by defeating them by scores of 9-2, 11-6, and 8-0.

Roane State took the other weekend series over Pellissippi by splitting the doubleheader on the first day, losing 3-0 before coming back to win 5-4 in the second game.  They took the finale 5-3 for the series win.  Dyersburg was the odd team out this week.
