SOUTHWEST TENNESSEE CONTINUES AT THE TOP OF BASEBALL STANDINGS
Two weeks into the conference portion of the baseball season, and Southwest Tennessee continues to lead the standing with a 5-1 record. A half game behind them is Chattanooga with a 4-1 while both Cleveland and Walters sit with a 4-2 record.
Southwest took two of three from Volunteer over the weekend, winning the opener on Saturday 10-4 before splitting the doubleheader, losing the first game 13-11 and then winning the nightcap 9-3. Chattanooga swept Jackson by the scores of 11-1, 3-1, and 7-4.
Cleveland took their series with Columbia, as they split the doubleheader, winning the first game 4-2 before losing 6-0 in the second game. They took the third game by a 7-4 final. Walters swept Motlow by defeating them by scores of 9-2, 11-6, and 8-0.
Roane State took the other weekend series over Pellissippi by splitting the doubleheader on the first day, losing 3-0 before coming back to win 5-4 in the second game. They took the finale 5-3 for the series win. Dyersburg was the odd team out this week.
