WALTER'S MYATT NAMED NJCAA DI PLAYER OF THE YEAR; FENTON EARNS GOLD GLOVE
The NJCAA announced their regular season winners this past week, and Walters State's Tyler Myatt was named the NJCAA Division I Baseball Player of the Year. Also, shortstop Kole Fenton was awarded a Gold Glove by the ABCA/Rawlings as the top DI shortstop. And, finally, former Senator starting pitcher Jake Knapp was named the NCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Year by The College Baseball Foundation.
TYLER MYATT
Myatt, a redshirt freshman, had a ..484 batting average with 31 home runs, and 110 RBIs. He reached base safely in 62 of the Senators 66 games this season.

KOLE FENTON
Fenton is only the second player in Walters State history to earn a Gold Glove by ABCA/Rawlings. He had a .978 fielding percentage with only four errors in 186 chances.

JAKE KNAPP
Knapp, in his senior season at North Carolina, had a 14-0 record and a 2.02 ERA for the Tr Heels this season.
