WALTERS STATE'S ROBERSTON, ALUM KNAPP TAKEN IN MLB DRAFT
The MLB held their amateur baseball draft this past weekend. The Walters State Senators baseball team saw two players drafted during the selections
Aiden Robertson, a sophomore pitcher this season, was drafted in the 13th round by the Texas Rangers. Robertson was an NJCAA 1st Team All-American, the TCCAA Pitcher of the Year, a member of the All-TCCAA First Team and was named to the JUCO World Series All-Tournament Team. With Robertson's help, the Senators finished JUCO World Series Runner-Ups.
Prior to Roberston being drafted, former Senator Jake Knapp waas selected in the eight round by the Chicago Cubs. Knapp just finished his collegiate career at North Carolina where he was named the NCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Year by The College Baseball Foundation.
