TCCAA announces 2026 All-Conference Baseball Teams, Special Awards

 

COLUMBIA, TN – The Tennessee Community College Athletic Association announced its 2026 All-TCCAA Baseball Teams and Special Awards on Monday. 

 

Walters State's Holden Pantier was named the 2026 TCCAA Baseball Player of the Year, while Cleveland State's Braden Suggs was the 2026 TCCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Year. Cleveland State's Aaron Bryant was the 2026 TCCAA Baseball Coach of the Year. 

 

Pantier was named the TCCAA Baseball Player of the Year following a record-breaking sophomore season. Pantier finished the regular season with a .488 batting average, hit 22 home runs and drove in 103 runs. Pantier broke the Walters State record for doubles in a season with 28, and he finished with 100 hits on the season. Pantier ranked first in the conference in batting average, hits, doubles, RBIs, runs with 86, total bases with 200 and slugging percentage which stood at .976. 

 

The TCCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Year, Suggs went 8-1 on the mound in 13 starts. Suggs finished with a 4.20 ERA and totalled 107 strikeouts in 79.1 innings. Suggs was first in the conference in strikeouts, first in innings pitched, second in wins,  and second in ERA. In conference play, Suggs went 6-1 and finished with 85 strikeouts and a 4.04 ERA. 

 

Bryant was named the TCCAA Baseball Coach of the Year in his second year in charge of the Cougars. Bryant's Cleveland State team finished the year at 33-21 and went 23-7 in TCCAA play. The conference record was a seven-game improvement from last season, and Cleveland State finished third in the conference in 2026.

 

Making First Team All-TCCAA were Walters State's Drew Blalock at first base, Cleveland State's Nolan Sergeant at second base, Walters State's Pantier at third base, Columbia State's Holden Warmath at shortstop, Columbia State's Jordan Akins and Julian Richards, Pellissippi State's Caden Channell and Motlow State's Mykell Murrah in the outfield, Cleveland State's Evan Leonard as the designated hitter, Walters State's Hayden Blair at catcher, Cleveland State's Braden Suggs, Walters State's Major Osbolt and Southwest Tennessee's Paul Brignole as the starting pitchers and Walters State's Tim Tyler as the relief pitcher. 

 

On All-TCCAA Second Team were Cleveland State's Nelson McKnight at first base, Chattanooga State's Ben Morgan at second base, Southwest Tennessee's Owen Roether at third base, Walters State's Kole Fenton at shortstop, Walters State's Miles Shore, Chattanooga State's Ty Newton and Southwest Tennessee's Jonathan Walsh in the outfield, Southwest Tennessee's Brady Cooper as the designated hitter, Pellissippi State's Trace Simmons at catcher, Chattanooga State's Ty Newton, Walters State's Preston Allen and Cleveland State's Max Owens as the starting pitcher and Southwest Tennessee's Troy O'Keefe as the relief pitcher.
