ROANE FINISHES 12TH, WALTERS 13TH IN DIVISION II NATIONALS

Roane and Walters State made a solid showing at this year's NJCAA Divison II Golf tournament which was held at the San Lake Resort Golf Club in Plymouth (IN) This past week.  The Raiders finished in 12th place on the team leaderboard while the Senators would finish right behind them in 13th place.  Roane's Noah Cambridge would finish in 4th place on the individual leaderboard with 292 (+4) over the four day event.

Roane would finish the tournament 80 over par for the tournament.  Besides Cambridge, Colby Johnson would finish in 54th place with a four day total of 312 (+24).  Jetson Murrell would finish in 76th place with a 316 (+28), and Tripp Hall would card a 317 (+29) for 79th place.  Braden Beverage would play in the first and third rounds with a 164 (+20), and William Mioduski would play in the second and fourth rounds and finish with a 165 (+21).

Walters finish with an 82 over par for the four days.  Blake Woody would lead the way with a 306 (+18) to finish in 34th place.  Sloan Brooks would finih in 34th place with a 308 (+20).  Bowen Brantley would be next ass he finished in 56th place with a 313 (+25), and Alex Getz finished with a 316 (+28) for a 76th place finish.  Nick Talley would play the first two rounds and card a 163 (+19) while Jonas Raylfield would play the last two rounds and score a 158 (+14).

Cleveland State was in the competition and finished in 19th place as a team finishin 124 over par for the tournament.  They were led by Carson Minish who finished in 51st place with a 311 (+23).  Carson Milen was next with a 317 (+29) for a 79th place finish.  Seth Moore finished in 100th place with a 327 (+39), and Andrew McCarver was 107th with a 330 (+42).  Kadyn Copeland played the firs round and scored a 98 (+26) while Gary Loftin played the final third rounds with a 241 (+25).

Also competing in the event as an individual qualifier was Pellissippi State's Noah Whitten.  He finished in 106th place with a four round total of 329 (+41).  

With Cambridge's performance, he earned a first team selection to the NJCAA Division II All-American teams.
