TCCAA/NJCAA REGION VII SOFTBALL TOURNEY SET FOR FRIDAY START
The TCCAA/NJCAA Region VII Softball Tournament is scheduled to start on Friday, May1, at the Eddie Campbell Field on the Columbia State campus. Friday's slate of games will feature the three playin games. Those winners advance to the double elimination portion of the tournament beginning on Saturday.
Actuion will start at 1pm CDT when #8 seed Cleveland State takes on the #9 seed Motlow State. The next game will feature #7 seed Pellissippi State against #10 Southwest Tennessee with an approximate start time of 3:30pm CDT. In the nightcap which should start app. at 6pm CDT, it will be #6Jackson State versus the #11 seed Columbia State.
Ation on Saturday will start at 10am CDT with Volunteer State taking on the Cleveland/Motlow winner. The #2 seed Chattanooga State, will take on the Pellissippi, Southwest Tennessee winner at 12:30pm CDT. Dyersburg State, the #4 seed, will face the #5 seed Roane State at 3pm CDT while the last game will be #3 seed taking on the Jackson/Columbia winner.
There are four games scheduled for four games starting at 10am CDT with two elimination games followed by the two games from the winner's bracket. Two games are swcheduled for Monday the winner's bracket final at 3pm CDT and an elimination game at 5:30pm CDT.. Tuesday games start at 12:30pm CDT with the championship game scheduled for a 3pm CDT start. If there is a if necessary game, it will be played on Wednesday at 12:30pm CDT.
