MOTLOW DEFEATS COLUMBIA FOR REGION CROWN

Motlow State defeated Columbia State Friday evening to secure the 2024 TCCAA/NJCAA Region VII Championship 2-1 in double overtime.  With the win, they will now host Iowa Western on November 9 in a Central District Final.

Columbia would strike first in the championship as Addison Alexander would score at the 17 minute mark on an assist from Abigale Alexander.  Motlow would anser back in the 23rd minute as Elva Nunes would find the back of the net on an assist from Camden Prosser.

Finally in the second overtime, the Lady Bucks would strike in the 102nd minute asAriana Baxter would drive the winning goal into the net on an assist from Bella Bravo.  

Motlow would have a 14-13 advantage over Columbia on shots on goal.  

Motlow moves their record to 14-3-3 while Columbia see their season end with a 12-3-1 overall record.
