TCCAA Announces All Conference Teams and Player of the Year
The Tennessee Community College Athletic Association announced its Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams and Special Award winners on Thursday.
For award winners, Columbia State's Eva Galloway was named TCCAA Player of the Year and TCCAA Freshman of the Year. Motlow State's Andy Lyon was awarded TCCAA Coach of the Year honors.
Galloway set the conference on fire this season, leading the TCCAA in goals, assists, points and shots. Galloway finished the regular season with 19 goals, 17 assists and 55 points. Galloway's assist and point totals are first in the NJCAA, her shot total of 85 is second in the NJCAA and her goal total is fifth in the NJCAA.
Galloway had four multi-goal games and four multi-assist games. Galloway scored five goals against Chattanooga State on Sept. 11, four goals against Chattanooga State on Oct. 12 and had five assists against Roane State on Sept. 4.
Lyon was named Coach of the Year following a TCCAA Regular Season Championship for Motlow State. The Bucks finished the regular season with a 13-3-2 record and a 10-1-1 record in TCCAA play. Motlow State is currently ranked No. 13 in the country.
On First Team All-TCCAA were Columbia State's Galloway and Scarlett Derrett, Dyersburg State's Ava Martin, Motlow State's Teresa Kahlmann, Aireona Duenez, Olivia Welham, Ayan Ahmed and Elva Nunes, Pellissippi State's Linda Madrid, Royce Russel, Jada Stuart and Eva Greenwald and Southwest Tennessee's Tasmin Burgess.
Named to the All-TCCAA Second Team were Columbia State's Emma Plummer and Lillian Gardner, Motlow State's Aura Zeledon, Ella Hopson, Jordan Butler and Lola Cunningham, Pellissippi State's Emmy Bohm, Julia Altheden and Alana Stallworth, Roane State's Addison Roberts and Zoey Rose and Southwest Tennessee's Crystal Trejo.
